I made this painting series by attaching antique linen damask to canvas... resulting in works that have textures that look like frescoes and painted walls.

Some use pieces of an antique tablecloth which I purchased from the estate of Margherita, Queen of Italy (1851-1926). They are the ones with the crowns and "M" monograms. They are in quiet shades of pale blues, yellows and pinks. And they are especially lovely when seen in person.
