immersion (under the surface)

My interest is in "how things look from the inside" (which is often quite different from how things look from the outside) evolved into a series of 1":1" scale paintings of swimming pool lane lines. They represent tiled grids in an actual swimming pool but blur the line between figural and abstract subject matter. They show something real but they can also be read as complete abstractions.
